WHAT ARE THE CUT OFF DATES FOR CHRISTMAS ORDERS?
NOVEMBER 1ST will be the cut off for all custom orders. This includes any ornament NOT shown on our web site. You still can order any regular ornaments shown on the web, but we will not accept any one of a kind special design orders untill January 1, 2011.
DECEMBER 10TH. will be the last day to order any ornament shown on the web site, and have guaranteed delivery before Christmas.
Ornaments that are ordered after December 10th, we will make and ship as soon as possible, but there will be no guarantee of delivery before Christmas. Keep in mind, delivery from California to the East Coast, is 2-3 days via our regular priority mail, and Express is overnight, (plus an additional day in many areas) so there is only a day or two saved. We feel the time saved is generally not worth the cost.
ARE YOUR ORNAMENTS MADE IN AMERICA?
Yes, Art and I have been constructing our ornaments for over 34 years in Goleta, California.
IF THE PERSONALIZATION OR DETAIL REQUEST I NEED ARE LONGER THAN WHAT THE WEBSITE ALLOWS, WHAT CAN I DO?
If you cannot fit all the personalization or details required in the boxes provided please type additional information in the comment box that is right after you input your credit card information.
I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE AN ORNAMENT MADE FOR MY CHILD IN THEIR BAND/TEAM UNIFORM. HOW DO I ORDER THE ORNAMENT IN THE STYLE AND COLORS I WANT?
Please email a photo of your child in their uniform to info@helzerscreations.com and specify that you have placed an order over the web and we will match the photo up to your order. In addition, after you enter your credit card information please type in the comment box that you have emailed a photo of the uniform. In the comment box also please state the colors of the uniforms. Some times Navy blue can look black in photos and vice versa. The more information you can provide us the better.
DO YOU MAKE CUSTOM DESIGNED ORNAMENTS?
Yes, custom work was and is the foundation of our business. We would be happy to work with you in creating an ornament inspired by your design/thoughts. Please refer to our custom design order request page to start the process. Also feel free to call (805) 683-7766 if you have any questions.
WHAT IS POLYMER CLAY?
Depending upon the manufacturer, it is a varying mix of powered
poly-vinyl chloride (think sprinkler pipe) and ceramic clay,
with the appropriate elasticizers and catalyzing agents. Generally
speaking the more clay the stiffer the final product is.
HOW DURABLE IS POLYMER CLAY?
It is waterproof, non-toxic, and will not shatter or crumble
like ceramic, glass or bread dough ornaments.
HOW CAN I REPAIR A BROKEN ORNAMENT?
Just place a drop of GEL super glue on the broken piece, press
the pieces together for 10 to 15 seconds, and it's done. (Just
make sure the pieces are aligned as well as possible, it makes
a better joint.)
WHAT CAN I USE TO PERSONALIZE AN ORNAMENT?
Any fine line PERMANENT black felt tip pen will work. We find
that the colored ink pens do not last much more than a year.
WILL MY ORDER LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE WEB PHOTOS?
They will be very similar, but not exactly the same. The reason
is we use our hands, not molds to make our ornaments.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STORE MY ORNAMENTS?
Just wrap them in tissue like the rest of your ornaments to
keep them from rubbing and scratching each other.
WILL THEY MELT IN MY ATTIC?
No, hot climates will not harm the clay. Its melting point
is over 400 degrees F. We do recommend that ornaments be stored
flat and not have a lot of weight stacked on top of them.
DO WE WHOLESALE?
Nope, sorry. Our primary focus lies in creating the perfect
personalized ornament, one at a time.
DO WE GIVE QUANTITY DISCOUNTS?
Only if the order is for 24 or more of the SAME ornament,
and no changes whatsoever. Please write or email
